Deacons

TJ Draper

TJ is a software developer, podcast creator and enthusiast, and generally a stereotypical “nerd”. He is father to four amazing children and has been married to their mother, the love of his life, since 2005.

TJ grew up in a Christian home where he learned the importance of God’s word and of his need for a savior and as an adult has discovered a love and passion for Christ’s Church, which was the impetus for accepting the nomination and call to be a deacon at St. Mark.

Brian McLain

Born and raised in Florida, Brian was blessed to have godly parents who raised him in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It was here that he met and married his lovely wife Denise. Brian has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Theology and has worked in the Power Industry for over 20 years, though he has recently transitioned into the field of education. Brian is an avid reader of theology, history and literature, enjoys noodling around on his guitar and mandolin, sometimes pretends to be a movie critic and has fun trying out new recipes on his grill. Brian and Denise have been wonderfully blessed with six beautiful daughters who love to sing and dance, filling their home with boundless joy and entertainment. He believes gathering with the saints for worship is the most important thing we do in life, and cherishes the opportunities he has to preach, teach, serve and host others as a deacon at St. Mark.
